Our thermal bypass valves (TBVs) are integrated into oil, fuel, and hydraulic systems to continuously monitor fluid temperatures and automatically divert flow when needed to maintain the optimal temperature within the system. Fluid below the valve’s set-point temperature is bypassed to a reservoir or bypass loop while fluid at or above the set-point is diverted to the system’s cooler.
These valves shorten warm-up times, reduce back pressure in the return, and extend overall system life.
Precise thermal control is boiled down to one powerful ingredient – a thermostatic actuator that can be integrated anywhere. For projects with strict space or weight requirements and unique applications, we offer stand-alone thermostatic control actuators and cartridges.
These can be easily implemented into an existing manifold or system, with no need for weighty external valve housings.
Cold weather can wreak havoc on exposed water-bearing systems, especially those supplying critical safety and operational equipment. Even systems with traditional heat-tracing can be vulnerable, should a malfunction occur, leaving operators unaware until the damage has already been done.
